This workshop is designed to provide a high-level understanding of menopause and its three distinct stages: perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. By attending this workshop, you will gain valuable insights into the physiological and hormonal changes that occur during each stage, helping you recognize the signs and implement helpful lifestyle and diet practices to help manage them. Whether you are experiencing these changes yourself or supporting someone who is, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate this natural phase with confidence and ease.
Activity: We will be making Chocolate Avocado Mousse together! Avocado contains boron, a trace mineral that plays a role in female hormone balance and bone health, specifically through perimenopause and menopause. Plus the oil in avocados has anti-inflammatory effects, and vitamin B5 supports adrenal gland function (helping with stress and reducing high-levels of cortisol).
What you'll need:
- 2 large ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup raw honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons smooth nut butter - eg almond or macadamia
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or scraped vanilla seeds from half a pod
- 3 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder
- A pinch of sea salt
